Barnstorm 12 was a huge success – the weather was beautiful, and audience members and musicians had a wonderful time. Several people have commented that this was the best Barnstorm yet, and that this is THE music festival to play.
Thank you to everyone who made this event great!
Special thanks to Dick Alta Vista for doing a great job as MC for the evening, and for the delicious Jamaican patties for the bands. You were fantastic!
Thanks again to Laker Beer’s generous sponsorship, and for lending us the giant inflatable beer can. Thank you Allannah Harris and Laker Beer!
Sound Output Audio Productions (SOAP) for the sound reinforcement and recording and front of house PA – thank you Mark Valcour and David Pratt.
Dave’s Drum Shop for the loaner drum kit – thank you.
Martin Sound for the lasers, smoke machine and DJ gear – thank you.
Thanks to Ken Tierney for your great audio ad – and great ear! Bravo!
Thanks to webmaster Jamie Nordstrand.
Dwight Macpherson for the poster design and logo that went over and above – thank you.
This should be closer to the top, but I want to thank all of the volunteers – I couldn’t do it without you:
Thanks to Derek and Jennifer Bradshaw, who organized the raffle and brought their mint John Deere tractor.
Special thanks to Kent ‘the man’ MacMillan for all the effort you put into the wood shavings in the corn crib, mounting a satellite dish in a tree, and countless other things.
A big shout out to Patricia Lever for vacuuming 18 hours over three Sundays in three buildings, helping with lighting, and working at the Merchandise booth.
Thanks to Martha and Tom Walsh for the great chili, salads and desserts for our performers’ hospitality area, for Martha’s stage direction and her work at the Merchandise booth – it’s always wonderful to have you with us.
Lastly, I would like to thank my girlfriend Moggy for serving food, her giant inflatable wavey man gift, and for putting up with me for the last few weeks, as there were many long nights and early mornings that were spent working on the endless details that need to be attended to. Thank You Sweetie!
